PlanetGreen needs clues on race & gender

I applauded when Discovery Channel's "Discovery Home" recently evolved into Planet Green TV - planetgreen.com - specialising in sustainable, ecological living. But the line's been crossed with Planet Green repeatedly airing promos that insidiously stereotype Black people and disappear and objectify Black and other women. Who else has seen these two ads?

Each features a Black person, both of whom are men. One ad shows a Black guy as a prison convict bragging to another prisoner that he's made a "shiv": an illicit, homemade knife used to hurt others. How 'green', or humane, is that?? The other ad shows real-life two musicians. Both, again, are men and one is Black. The Black guy brags that he saves water by filling his tub "with women." What?? Planet Green, not only is all of this demeaning, it's t-i-r-e-d. PlanetGreen, you really need to clean up your act.
