The CIA has released a new report for the public, Mapping the Global Future. The report looks at how situations in the world may develop in the next 15 years. (At this point those are the only words I find to use.)
Today U.S. and international press are saying this report issues a caution on what is happening in Iraq, warning Iraq is now a magnet for certain groups and individuals.
CNN reports the White House is calling the CIA view 'speculative'.
CIA writes: "[T]he third unclassified report prepared by the National Intelligence Council (NIC) in the past seven years that takes a long-term view of the future. The National Intelligence Council, as a center of strategic thinking and over-the-horizon analysis for the US Government, takes this as one of its key challenges."
Last evening George Bush on TV news saying something inarticulate as usual; referring to Iraq he said something to the effect that he thought everyone wants to be free in their soul. If I've misquoted him I'm sorry, and sure the exact words can be found.
It's not easy stringing words together the way George W. Bush does.
