In Charleston, South Carolina during enslavement my ancestors (named Lowndes) cultivated the white Lowndes family's rice wealth. This is the park in Lowndes Square, London UK, where only square residents have the key to get in.
My family is Lowndes and in Charleston, South Carolina our ancestors were enslaved by white Lowndes from England. My ancestors cultivated their Charleston rice plantations. Back in London the Queen made Wm Lowndes her treaurer - Chancellor of the Exchequeur. I photographed this square named for him. It's in SW1, one of London's most exclusive areas. All this together helps me finally understand where the Black Lowndes stand.
